My husband and I planned and worked on this party for 2 months. We used brightly colored decorations to pull everything together.
The cake I made only took 2 nights and was the first cake I have ever tried to do! The banner was a huge hit as well! I hung it up on our sons wall today for him to look at and enjoy for a long time to come!

Well, I just made this cake and it was fairley easy. I used a 8 in by 3 in deep pan, a 6 in by 3 in pan and 1/2 of a ball pan. After the 8 in cake baked I flipped it out and et it cool but then flipped in back over as if it were still in a pan and that mkes a great muno. Then the 6 in cake after it baked and cooled I cut the top off of it so it was flat on top and bottom. Then after the ball baked and cooled I made sure it was level too and plaved it on top of the 6 in cake and that is the start of Brobee. I thinly iced the cakes with homemade wilton buttercream icing. Then I bought already colored pakages of fondant. Two boxes. I used on green package and rolled it out. You can favor it if you want. I placed it on Brobee and smoothed out all the wrinkles. You can keep wetting your finger and rubbing over the crease to smooth out crackes and stuff. Then with the other green package I added some back food coloring and kneaded it untill it was a little darker and then rolled it out and cut it to make the stripe and put it on with a ittle water to keep in stuck to the lighter green. Cut around the bottom to smooth it out. I had some white fondant that I used for the eyes. Same thing roll out and cut and paste on. I jsut used a tube of back icing for the eyes and unabrow. I used both red packages and again just rolled out and put over cake and smoothed out. Paste eye and I used ready to melt chocolate red candy and put it on the outside to make the wart things. You can also used the left over pieces of red to make them. Then take three pieces of the eft over red and od them into the spikes for Brobee and paste on. Cut around edge of Muno and bottom to smooth out. Hint Put Muno on and plate/plater that you are going to serve it on before decorating. Then put brobee on very carefuly and Tada !!!!

I bought the hats from party city as well. I just used the print out puppets from nickjr.com

Your cake came out awesome...Did you buy the party hats or did you have to use the print outs for those as well?

haileyb's picture

I bought goody bags from party city (they have a pack with all of the colors) and then went to nickjr.com and printed out the templates they especially made for the goodie bags.

I recommend attempting a cake! In my wildest dreams i never thought i could do it, but I did!

The banner was super easy to make as well, i just sketched each letter, colored it and cut them out. I printed the puppet show backgrounds out as the background!

Notable Quotes

"My kids [Stella, 22 months, and Liam, 3] are obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba! It's a dream to guest on the show and do a dance-y dance!"

-Tori Spelling, actress

"I love YO GABBA GABBA. I don't care what you say, DJ Lance, Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee and Plex have taught my daughter many valuable lessons--like the desirability of napping, for one. Not to throw objects at Daddy's skull. Not biting. The value of 'trying again' and 'not giving up.' All set to surprisingly weird, offbeat songs which--in another venue and with other lyrics, one might find oneself enjoying at a club. They get good indie bands as guests, and Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO is a regular. I know every song and every lyric by heart."

-Anthony Bourdain, host of No Reservations
