Ari's Foofa Cake!

Hello Gabbafriends!
My daughter Ari (Ariana June) is a huge fan of the show and is inseparable from her Foofa doll (although she loves the rest of the Gabbaland Gang too.) So when her 2nd birthday was coming up, it had to be a Yo Gabba Gabba party. Her daddy's surprise was the highlight of the day...a Foofa Cake just for Ari. I've attached a couple of photos of my husband's awesome creation.
He used 2 round cake pans (2 larger ones out of a set of 3 spring form pans) then carved the larger one for Foofa's face and the smaller round cake for the flower. It was Cherry Chip cake with cream cheese filling and regular cream frosting. He smoothed the surface by dampening a butter knife and running it over the entire cake after letting the pink base color set in the refrigerator. Foofa's features were piped on last. Then, the two cakes (flower and Foofa's face) were positioned on the tray for Good Gabba Eats! My daughter was thrilled! Best birthday cake ever! Way to go daddy!
