Create a Yo Gabba Gabba! Candy Buffet!

Laurie's picture

A new idea popping up in the latest Yo Gabba Gabba birthday parties is the candy buffet! Candy buffets allow your guests to fill their own baggie with the treats of their choosing.

Candy buffets serve multiple purposes at your birthday party!

  • You can use a candy buffet as your party favor, and a way of saying thank you to your guests.
  • Add an extra pop to your decor when created to match your theme.
  • Your Yo Gabba Gabba birthday cake and cupcakes looks great as the centerpiece to a candy buffet.
  • Or they can just be considered an added treat for your guests!

What You'll Need:

Candy, Of Course!

To create a candy buffet, first you will want to think about what candies you would like to have. You might want to choose candies by color, coordinating with each character. For Yo Gabba Gabba, choose orange, red, pink, yellow, green, and blue. Account for about one pound (16 oz.) per guest, but you might want to decrease that amount to avoid having extras in case your guests don't want to take candy home, for whatever reason. For my wedding reception's candy buffet, I purchased all of my bulk candy from Candy Warehouse and can honestly say that it was the best price for the best name brand selection!

You will also need containers to hold the candy on your buffet table.

I just love this Wilton Candy Buffet Set:

These glass jars are also elegant:

Label Your Candy

Your guests might not be sure what kind of candy is in each bowl unless you label it!

Thanks to Yo Gabba Mama, you can easily edit these tags and print them out! You can use them either as labels on the candy containers on your candy buffet, or you can glue them to a stick and stand it up directly in the candy. You can also change the wording to write the name of the candy, or keep the thank you message!

The labels also look great taped to the baggie that your guest will be taking home!

You can also create a table with different heights for the jars of candy by hiding phonebooks or boxes underneath the tablecloth.
