Logan's Birthday Party
Emily sent in lots of terrific photos from her son Logan's birthday party, in hopes that her great ideas will inspire other parents planning a Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party!
Emily writes:
We modeled our invitations after Mary Pat's from the site. I created them in photoshop and printed on photo paper and they turned out great!

I created characters out of solid colored birthday plates. Just used scrapbooking cardstock, glue and sharpie marker:

I also created a special birthday hat for Logan covered with orange fuzzy and a big yellow star like DJ Lance Rock's:

I made a homemade wreath for the front door with a plain twig wreath, decorative mesh, ribbon, foam letters and a Plex doll:

Logan's bib was created using cut-out felt pieces that were layered and glued onto a store-bought bib:

The yellow smash cake had a picture of DJ Lance (my son's favorite):

The big cake was modeled after Naomi's from the site:

We listened to the YGG soundtrack during the gift portion and watched the new DVD after we ate cake and all of the kids loved it! My son's favorite gift was Toodee ball that his aunt gave him.
I am so thankful that your site was there to give me ideas! Everyone loved the decorations!

Hi,
I'm not sure if you're still responding to requests for more info on how you made the invites. They are adorable and I would love to make them for my son's 2nd bday party! I am new to photoshop so I'm having some trouble! I wasn't sure how you layered the YGG image in front of your cute little boy. ANy info would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Katie
Hi, I love all the different ideas from Logan's party. I plan to use a lot of them. Thanks for posting them! My question is, where did you get your invitations made? I love them.
Thanks again.
Love the invitation, where did you get it made.
Could you please tell me how you did the invites? My MIl is trying to help me make them but it's not working so well. Thanks! Rachael
Ok, so I have questions about the cake and also the invitations. I would love to make my son's invitations just like it. Do you have a template that you can email me? I also LOVE the cake...How did you make it?
hi, did u bake the cake? do u ahve like a deep pan or is it layers? i cant get my cakes paerfectly shaped theres always a gap in the middle. any suggestions? brandy
were did you make the invitations?
hey i thought about doing that to the plates, did the perminant marker hold up when u put the cake or ice cream on it?
I actually used them to decorate the window in our house so we didn't put food on them. I'm guessing it wouldn't hold up very well to ice cream. They do make a very cute embellishment for a party though!
