Lois sent in this incredible Birthday Banner, and if you take a good look at the images, you'll see a lot of love and detail went in to every element!
Lois writes in: I made a birthday banner by hand for my son's 1st Birthday back in Feb. Here is what I did and how I did it!
BIRTHDAY BANNER:

I printed out the YGG puppet background on NickJr.com, Lined them up in order on two pieces of poster board glued together and glued them on. Next I looked online to find a DJ Lance head peeking out over the top to put on the top. Then I took an alphabet stencil and traced out HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAVIN! on alternating different colored cardstock, 5 colors in all Red (Muno), Green (Brobee), Pink (Foofa), Yellow (Plex), and Blue (Toodee)! Then I cut out small squares to glue each letter too in coordinating colors. For green I used orange squares, Pink I used a darker pink, Red I used Black, Yellow I used Grey, and Blue I used a darker blue. Before I could glue the green letters to the orange squares I used a green fine point maker to draw on some stripes like Brobee has, and then glued them on. For the rest of the letters I had to think about to figure out what would work the best with each different letter. Basically each colored letter is decorated to match each character! It turned out really cute!
And then I took some of the balloon and music note printouts from NickJr.com and after I glued DJ Lance's face on the top and all of the characters in their land, I had to play around with all of the letters, music notes, and balloons to decide what would work the best. And I ended up laying them out as pictured and it turned out awesome! After that I took some matching tissue paper, cut strips in them, and glued them on the bottom to make the baller look a little bit more festive. And in the end I added all of the little doodles in the background that are the same in the Yo Gabba Gabba logo in orange marker. And that was it!! It took me a total of 1 week to complete the project and I am very proud of it!
Hope you liked what I did!! Enjoy!
