Lotus' Birthday Party
Ever since Jen offered the readers of Gabbafriends this free invitation that she created (check out her blog!), we have totally been anticipating seeing pictures from her own party, because we just knew they were going to be... well, nothing short of AWESOME. Sure enough, Jen delivered!! Ladies and gents, I am sure of it: Martha Stewart has got nothing on this woman!
Jen shares with us a little bit about her party. She writes:
We borrowed a lot of ideas from GabbaFriends - thanks so much for the inspiration. We decorated with YGG toys, daisies, pink tulle and cutouts from Nick Jr. Our friend even knitted a rad Foofa hat as a gift!
We actually live pretty close to Leslie of Leslie and the LYs so we invited her to make an appearance and do some glitter hands/razzle dazzle/lazerbeam dancing, but she was in LA. Oh well! She's super sweet.
I made a Brobee cake and my husband, Bo, and I both sported the new DJ Lance hat and glasses that we found in stores right before the party. We converted our basement into a dancey-dance party and used our projector to play the Yo Gabba Gabba DVD while our little pals danced and played.
The party was AWESOMMMMME! Lotus loved it. And so did we.

I ama graphic designer as well and I will def be putting my skills to use. You did a great job and I love the name Lotus.
You're party looked great! I especially love the Foofa hat. Could you tell me if your friend has posted the pattern for making that hat anywhere? I'd love to make one! I think I could figure out most of it, but I'm not sure how the flower is attached to the top! Thanks for any help! :)
so i must say. 1. Her outfit it out of this world!!! She looks so awesome..fyi awesome is one of my fav words.. I love the party my fav picture is the cupcake on. I love the lil characters in each cupcake and of course wow.. the Radical Brobee cake..love it..great job.

Look's like Lotus had a blast!! I love the Brobee cake! It's AWESOME! My daughter Mailie will be turning 2 in May and this site has given me so many idea's. I'm a little worried though, I am not crafty at all!!

Brobee cake came awesome! Its so weird that you have a daughter named Lotus. If my husband and I have another girl, that is the name we picked and I NEVER heard anyone with it before! I thought we were being original! Your party looked fun!
