Gabbafriends CD Review:
We recently received a copy of the soon-to-be released Yo Gabba Gabba! soundtrack titled Music is Awesome! We have been listening to it non-stop in our home and let me tell you friends, you would be amazed at how much more willing a toddler is to do even the most mundane tasks when put to a song from Yo Gabba Gabba!. My son and I sing "Brush, Brush, Brush" by Of Montreal every single day while brushing his teeth. Chromeo's "Nice and Clean" works well when encouraging hand washing. And of course we cannot forget the ol' standby --tried and true!-- "Party in my Tummy" which works every time for the pickiest eater. The songs are even good for adults when we need a little help getting our tasks completed. For example, I have "Lovely Love My Family" performed by The Roots as the first song in my workout play list!
Music is Awesome! will be released on October 20th, 2009 but you can pre-order the entire album from iTunes and receive three extra songs from the deluxe edition! (You can click on the songs for a preview on iTunes.) I am personally excited for the deluxe edition as it contains the song "Listen" by Paco and that reminds me of the very early days of Yo Gabba Gabba! season one, when I first found myself falling madly in love with the series.
Now, be sure to share with your friends... in addition to listening to the album at home, Music is Awesome! contains many fun songs perfect for play time and it also makes for the perfect playlist at a birthday party!
