Julian Saw Yo Gabba Gabba Live in Las Vegas!
Hi, my name is Julian Jones. I have been a fan of Yo Gabba Gabba since birth!! My mother is very dedicated to making our family happy!! She recently won tickets on the radio station Hot 97.5 in Las Vegas, NV. Our family was very fortunate to go see Yo Gabba Gabba live in Las Vegas on December 2 ,2010.
That is just the beginning of our story. Did I mention my mother won our family front row seats and backstage VIP tickets. We got to party with the Gabba Gabba crew up close and personal. This was the best show everrrrr!!! We danced and sang the entire time!!! Also, after the wonderful show we met the Yo Gabba Gabba characters. We partied with them, and this was the best experience.

Kenlyne Loves Yo Gabba Gabba!
Our cute friend Kenlyne sure does love Yo Gabba Gabba!
So much so that her mommy had this stroller custom made for her by an overseas company called Chunckle Munckle! The stroller came complete with stroller hood, bag, and seat liner!

Kenlyne also received her first pair of Yo Gabba Gabba Vans for Christmas! Rikki, Kenlyne's mom, told us, "The look on Kenlyne's face was priceless when she opened her first xmas gift (YGG Vans!"
Mya's Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Party!
Our friend Rebecca Seal sent in some really creative ideas from her daughter's Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party! Thanks, Rebecca!!
Rebecca writes in, "I made a Yo Gabba Gabba land out of cardboard wrapping and construction paper (mostly wrapping paper though!)."

"These are very time consuming but worth it. I loved them because my daughter Mya was turning one and not really into opening the gifts, so the kids got to open them and they loved it!!"
Making of the "Nature" episode, as told by Joel Fox!
Have you ever seen a cool new visual on Yo Gabba Gabba and stopped to wonder HOW or WHY that came to be? (Let's be honest, if you have seen even one episode, then the answer is, OF COURSE YOU HAVE.) Joel Fox, the man of legend behind Visual Effects at Yo Gabba Gabba, recently blogged in depth about the Nature episode from season three!
Click here to read Joel's story about the making of Nature!
In his often-hilarious story, Joel sets the background for how he and Scott Schultz conceptualized the Nature episode, and what it took to make it all come together. Joel even included some very interesting tidbits of things that didn't make it into the episode, including darling Gweny whose spot had to unfortunately be cut from the show. Instead, Joel made her an amazing video of her own, and it's a shame this entire video wasn't in the episode, because it is raaaad!

Be sure to check out the rest of Joel's blog, and treat yourself to mystical visuals, and a little peek into his home life, and the house that is much rumored to be EPIC.

Amanda's Handmade DJ Lance Doll!
Amanda from Mandigirl Muses didn't let the difficulty of finding great Yo Gabba Gabba gifts for Christmas get her down! Instead, she got super crafty and made a fantastic DJ Lance doll! Check out her inspirational story!
A snippet from Amanda's story:
I put my sewing skills to use and I made Brystol a DJ Lance Rock doll. While hunting for toys to purchase, I discovered the Gabba Friends fan site, and featured there was the idea for creating a DJ Lance doll at home. I did as the original creator did and ordered an Urkel doll on eBay. I ordered the smaller, non-talking doll. Not only was it cheaper, but there's no chance it will spit out an Urkelism -- I like that better. I found some free doll clothes patterns online -- one for a turtleneck shirt and one for pants. I picked up about $2 worth of fabric and felt, then combined the patterns to make the super cool orange jump suit, making modifications for fit and style. The most significant change I made was using felt instead of fur for the hat. Brystol is still small enough for things to frequently make their way into her mouth, so for now, felt is a better option.

Gabba Bebe's trip to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live!
I just had to share the great pix from Yo Gabba Gabba Live, my son had a GREAT time! It was amazing; the show was put together so nice. We got the VIP tickets and it was soooo worth it! My son got to meet Biz Markee and DJ Lance and of course the Yo Gabba crew. He danced like crazy and had fun after the show in the VIP room eating snacks, listening to music and playing with the other children. I at the time of the show was 8 months pregnant and I had on a Brobee Party in my Tummy shirt hehe. DJ Lance thought that was pretty funny, I was so happy that my baby waited to be born because I had to go to the show with my son. My daughter was born only 4 days after the show. Hope you enjoy the pix!

Spreading the Lovely, Love Around...
The following post is a cross-post by Gabbafriends guest author, Merrilee, from Mer Mag. Merrilee is hosting a really great cause that EVERY Yo Gabba Gabba fan is going to want to take part in! Don't miss out, Gabba Friends!!! Thank you, Merrilee, for giving such a wonderful gift to our beloved Schultz family! (If your shop is interested in joining Mer Mag in her cause, please let us know at gabbafriends@gmail.com, so we can help promote your business!)

I wanted to start Valentines Day off with a lovely, love story and a new print in my shop to go along with it.
About a week ago I got an email from Ruth Schultz, wife of Scott Schultz - the creator of a little known kids show you might have heard of....Yo Gabba Gabba. Ruth had seen my Lovely, Love My Family paper heart cut out I had made for Jon for Christmas and wanted to purchase a print of it for her husband's office. Needless to say I was completely flattered and more than happy to accommodate.

In fact, her request inspired me to take it further and offer several Lovely, Love prints in various colors in my etsy shop.
After hearing from Ruth I later came across this beautiful story about her, her family and more specifically her lovely daughter, Davy. Darling Davy was born with a cleft lip and palate, congenital heart defects and several other conditions. From there I went on to read more about this amazing mother/daughter team on Ruth's own blog, the mom.

It didn't take long for me to fall in love with little Davy and her talented, humorous, gorgeous, and incredibly strong mother, Ruth. Her blog tells the story of Davy's growth, trials and triumphs and is filled with hope amidst weariness, and happiness amidst adversity...all while being shared in Ruth's transparent, down to earth, day-in-the-life-of writing style.

Ruth is also a mother to three happy, healthy, hyper and hilarious boys, Max, Oliver and Harper. Just about every post concerning these little guys makes me smile with familiarity (and I think I've even spotted one or two or all three of them on our favorite little show ;)). Needless to say, Ruth's a busy woman.

After catching up on Ruth and Davy, I knew right away that these Lovely, Love prints had to be for them. It just felt right. So I have decided that the proceeds from all of the Lovely, Love prints in my shop will go to Davy and her family for things such as hospital, medical, and doctor bills, medications, supplies, etc. (something I've since learned that they are always in need of, despite the success of the show). And to kick it off, I've decided to start spreading the love around by offering ONE FREE PRINT with every LOVELY, LOVE print purchase...all week long!! Just indicate which print you want for free in the comment section at check out and I'll be sure to mail them both off to you.

A very Happy Valentines day to all of you!! And get on over to the shop, and start your week off right by sharing a little love.

Premiere Week of Yo Gabba Gabba... and tons of great new merch!
Don't miss out on the premiere of FOUR new episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba season three, showing on Nickelodeon all this week! Please note that these episodes are airing on Nickelodeon and NOT Nick Jr. This has always been confusing in the past so please check your local listings to make sure you have the correct channel set to record, or you will end up with season two's "Boat". Not that that is a bad thing, but missing the new episodes would be tragic indeed.
HUGE THANKS to everyone who took the time to sign our friendly petition for the airing of these episodes! Now if only we could catch news of a new season being green-lighted to start filming... Keep on passing around the petition so we can help get that fourth season ordered and in production already!
