If you have had a membership with Netflix, you might know that for awhile now you can add Yo Gabba Gabba DVDs to your queue, to arrive in your mailbox within a couple of days. But the latest news from Netflix is that now you can instantly stream season one in its entirety straight to your television! This is great news considering the DVDs have only select episodes available, and some of the episodes are extremely hard to catch on Nick Jr. ("Imagine" immediately comes to mind). Live streaming is also a great alternative to those of us who have kept half of the memory on the DVR tied up in Yo Gabba Gabba episodes, just in case our little ones need it on demand! Heaven forbid we have accidentally deleted a favorite episode or two!
Gabbafriends is a fan site and online community dedicated to Yo Gabba Gabba! We feature the ultimate Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party planning guide. You will also love our extensive gallery of images of items created by fans of the show. These items include personal artwork, Yo Gabba Gabba Halloween costumes, home decor ideas, Yo Gabba Gabba cakes, crafts, and so much more! 2011 has already been an amazing year for Yo Gabba Gabba! Just recently, we heard news of Yo Gabba Gabba's two Emmy nominations, and we also learned that they will be super busy filming season four this summer. The latter of the two is especially important considering the huge news that was announced yesterday: Yo Gabba Gabba announced yet another 60+ date tour!
For the last two years, we have had the chance to see a production called "There's a Party in My City", but this year the production is titled "It's Time to Dance!" That means new content! New surprises! New additions to the tour! Leslie Hall, a favorite for us die-hard Gabba fans, will be joining the tour full-time along with Biz Markie! Biz is known for his patient and gentle ways of one-on-one interaction with fans during the show, and we're sure Leslie has some great tricks of her own! We can hardly wait!
Even with the 60+ dates, historically Yo Gabba Gabba has added dates to the list due to heavy demand. So if you're in an area that was skipped this year, or perhaps the dates in your city sell out, I implore you to let Yo Gabba Gabba know on their Live webpage. Just scroll down to the very bottom of the page to leave your comment.(Arizona, I'm looking at you!) If there is anything I've learned over the past three years of hosting Gabbafriends.com, it is that Yo Gabba Gabba truly listens to, and is often inspired by, their fans!
For the full list of current tour dates, please check out Yo Gabba Gabba Live for the most up-to-date information!

As you can see, they are up against some good competition, but Yo Gabba Gabba's sets are known for being intricately detailed works of art, and just downright awesome.
Let's take a look at just a few of the best set designs from the show:
We here at Gabbafriends love it when our readers send in their amazing artwork! This 3d model of Plex is no exception! Our friend Brian Bailey sent this is, and he tells us that he used AutoCAD to create the image! Seriously awesome!!
Hi, my name is Julian Jones. I have been a fan of Yo Gabba Gabba since birth!! My mother is very dedicated to making our family happy!! She recently won tickets on the radio station Hot 97.5 in Las Vegas, NV. Our family was very fortunate to go see Yo Gabba Gabba live in Las Vegas on December 2 ,2010.
That is just the beginning of our story. Did I mention my mother won our family front row seats and backstage VIP tickets. We got to party with the Gabba Gabba crew up close and personal. This was the best show everrrrr!!! We danced and sang the entire time!!! Also, after the wonderful show we met the Yo Gabba Gabba characters. We partied with them, and this was the best experience.
Our cute friend Kenlyne sure does love Yo Gabba Gabba!
So much so that her mommy had this stroller custom made for her by an overseas company called Chunckle Munckle! The stroller came complete with stroller hood, bag, and seat liner!
Kenlyne also received her first pair of Yo Gabba Gabba Vans for Christmas! Rikki, Kenlyne's mom, told us, "The look on Kenlyne's face was priceless when she opened her first xmas gift (YGG Vans!"
Our friend Rebecca Seal sent in some really creative ideas from her daughter's Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party! Thanks, Rebecca!!
Rebecca writes in, "I made a Yo Gabba Gabba land out of cardboard wrapping and construction paper (mostly wrapping paper though!)."
"These are very time consuming but worth it. I loved them because my daughter Mya was turning one and not really into opening the gifts, so the kids got to open them and they loved it!!"
Have you ever seen a cool new visual on Yo Gabba Gabba and stopped to wonder HOW or WHY that came to be? (Let's be honest, if you have seen even one episode, then the answer is, OF COURSE YOU HAVE.) Joel Fox, the man of legend behind Visual Effects at Yo Gabba Gabba, recently blogged in depth about the Nature episode from season three!
In his often-hilarious story, Joel sets the background for how he and Scott Schultz conceptualized the Nature episode, and what it took to make it all come together. Joel even included some very interesting tidbits of things that didn't make it into the episode, including darling Gweny whose spot had to unfortunately be cut from the show. Instead, Joel made her an amazing video of her own, and it's a shame this entire video wasn't in the episode, because it is raaaad!
Be sure to check out the rest of Joel's blog, and treat yourself to mystical visuals, and a little peek into his home life, and the house that is much rumored to be EPIC.
IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE!
Earlier today, Nickelodeon issued a press release announcing that thirteen more episodes (season four) of Yo Gabba Gabba have been ordered!
Congratulations to all of the wonderful members of the production staff, cast, and crew at Yo Gabba Gabba! We are all looking forward to seeing what you have planned for season four!
And a huge thanks goes out to the thousands of fans who signed our petition to Nickelodeon, and took the time to share your heartfelt words about the show! We're confident everyone at Yo Gabba Gabba knows how truly loved and supported they are by their fans!
Amanda from Mandigirl Muses didn't let the difficulty of finding great Yo Gabba Gabba gifts for Christmas get her down! Instead, she got super crafty and made a fantastic DJ Lance doll! Check out her inspirational story!
A snippet from Amanda's story:
I put my sewing skills to use and I made Brystol a DJ Lance Rock doll. While hunting for toys to purchase, I discovered the Gabba Friends fan site, and featured there was the idea for creating a DJ Lance doll at home. I did as the original creator did and ordered an Urkel doll on eBay. I ordered the smaller, non-talking doll. Not only was it cheaper, but there's no chance it will spit out an Urkelism -- I like that better. I found some free doll clothes patterns online -- one for a turtleneck shirt and one for pants. I picked up about $2 worth of fabric and felt, then combined the patterns to make the super cool orange jump suit, making modifications for fit and style. The most significant change I made was using felt instead of fur for the hat. Brystol is still small enough for things to frequently make their way into her mouth, so for now, felt is a better option.
Dillon's first birthday party was on his actual first birthday day, December 4th! It of course HAD to be Yo Gabba Gabba! It is his favorite show.. In fact its the only show he will watch! We had such a fun time decorating and planning it!! He got a bunch of Yo Gabba Gabba toys and of course his Aunt Krista bought him the Brobee Vans! It was such a great time and everyone LOVED the party and decorations! I got a lot of great ideas from your website, so thank you!!
Christian Jay absolutely loves YGG, so when his 2nd birthday came around it was only right to celebrate it Gabba Land style =]
We got the cake made plainly covered in yellow fondant and purchased the edible character sets on etsy.com We wanted to customize it, make it unique.
I just had to share the great pix from Yo Gabba Gabba Live, my son had a GREAT time! It was amazing; the show was put together so nice. We got the VIP tickets and it was soooo worth it! My son got to meet Biz Markee and DJ Lance and of course the Yo Gabba crew. He danced like crazy and had fun after the show in the VIP room eating snacks, listening to music and playing with the other children. I at the time of the show was 8 months pregnant and I had on a Brobee Party in my Tummy shirt hehe. DJ Lance thought that was pretty funny, I was so happy that my baby waited to be born because I had to go to the show with my son. My daughter was born only 4 days after the show. Hope you enjoy the pix!
Aixa sent us pictures from Thiago's birthday party, featuring that stunning cake, made by Evelyn Santiago! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas with us, Aixa!
This awesome pull-apart cupcake cake was made with vanilla butter cream icing and rolled fondant. Half the cupcakes were chocolate and half vanilla - made by a super friend with super talent. Enjoyed by over 30 people at the party, and most importantly: THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!
