How To Make A Muno Cake (Complete With Brobee Cupcakes!)
Suzee sends us instructions on how she made this sweet Muno cake! She shares our feelings about making a birthday cake when she says, "I have never decorated a cake before and was going crazy trying to make something nice and easy for Sophie's birthday. Just staring at the characters gave me the inspiration!"
Thanks, Suzee!
To make the Muno cake I baked a vanilla cake in a 13 x 9 pan. Then once cooled...I used a large bowl at the top of the cake, placed it there to round the edges to make his head and cut off the extra pieces.
I used a sugar cookie to make his eye frosting it with white icing and used 1/2 of an Oreo cookie to make the center of his eye.
Then I added red and yellow food coloring to the icing. I used black licorice strips for his mouth and 2 mini marshmallows for his teeth...using scissors to snip them to a nice point.
The "bumps" on Muno are candy "Dots" I only used red and orange dots and spread them randomly around the cake.
I also made some Brobee cupcakes using green frosting and black gel icing with candy corns for his horns and squished mini marshmallows for his eyes using black gel icing for the pupil. I used red gel icing around a small piece of black licorice for his mouth.
Enjoy and share!
